Understanding changes in the way you work

Participants have the opportunity to choose from multiple in-person sessions. In the spirit of our events, most sessions are facilitated by LAST community members.

Sessions are related to creating digital products and services. There will be a focus on how AI technologies are impacting work, with an emphasis on practical examples and advice.

For example

  • Case studies: how people are using AI in their work
  • Opportunities, limitations, pitfalls and ethical issues
  • How jobs and roles are changing in an AI world.

Not everything is AI focused. We have selected a range of topics, just as we have done in previous LAST Conferences.

FAQs

What is LAST?

LAST exists to raise the levels of people who create digital products and services.

We do this  through in-person events and online learning opportunities

In 2024-25, one of the focus areas is on Accelerating Professional Development in The Age of AI.

We have grown from grass-roots, collaborative, practitioner origins in the meetup community, with people from small and large organisations, and a wide range of industries participating.

This event will be held on Wurundjeri land. We acknowledge the people and elders of the Wurundjeri of the Kulin Nation who are traditional custodians of this land. We respect the cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We have been signatories to the Diversity Charter for conferences since 2016. For us, this means taking active steps to ensure that the lineup of presenters we have reflects the community we serve. It also means that we seek out under-represented voices and topics for the schedule.
